Job Profile

The company is searching for a Tool and Die Maker who will be responsible for Industrial Tooling Maintenance.

Educational Level

• Formal Tech School training in the Tool and Die trade or equivalent training
• Age 18 years or older

Work Experience

• At least 5 years of formal Tool and Die experience (required)

Duties/Responsibilities

• Additional responsibilities include good housekeeping and other assignments as directed by the Supervisor.
• Continuously safely perform all required tasks, adhering to all established safety rules and procedures. Must take immediate action to correct or report any unsafe conditions and hazards.
• Secondary duties include all aspects of general tooling maintenance such as die build/repair/rebuild, roll form tooling repair and adjustment, custom press forming equipment tooling repair and adjustment, and performing preventative maintenance procedures on all plant tooling.
• Take an active role in caring for the equipment to prevent breakdowns and defects and help increase overall equipment efficiency through 5S, TPM (total productive maintenance), and other Lean Manufacturing initiatives directed by the Sedalia site.
• The employee shall be able to work overtime as requested and posted by management.
• The employee will be required to meet satisfactory performance requirements as determined by the Supervisor.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Additional training in CAD, CNC, and EDM is a plus.
• Basic computer knowledge
• Good communication skills (verbal and written)
• Good manual dexterity
• Good understanding of quality control principles
• Possess the knowledge to read and understand blueprints and metal stamping concepts required in die manufacture.
• Shall own and know how to use precision measuring tools and basic hand tools.
