Job Profile
The company is recruiting a Tool and Die Maker who will operate and perform basic setups of machines such as manual and CNC mills, grinders, lathes, and EDMs.
Basic familiarity with thread/form rolls tooling.
Requires intermediate competencies in print reading and inspection processes, as well as basic troubleshooting.
Education Level
- High School Diploma or GED (preferred but not required)
Work Experience
- Typically, 1-3 years of relevant experience
Duties/Responsibilities
- Able to work overtime as needed
- Adheres to quality processes including in-process inspection to ensure compliance with quality specifications.
- Begin to perform basic equipment setups
- Communicate with other departments as needed (thread-roll, heading, etc.)
- Correctly interpret work orders
- Lift up to 45 lbs.
- Machine intermediate tooling components with assistance
- Operate basic Lathes, Grinders, and Polishing Equipment
- Work in a team environment, i.e. follow instructions and assist others as needed.
- Work safely under functional safety guidelines such as PPE and equipment interaction.
- Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Basic familiarity with all relevant tools and equipment
- Intermediate print reading
- The ability to navigate the intranet to locate process documents – basic computer skills
- The ability to perform basic shop math, fractions, decimals
- The ability to read and interpret work instructions and basic prints and dimensions
- The ability to read and write English.
- The ability to use basic hand tools, wrenches, etc.
- The ability to use basic inspection tools such micrometers, calipers, comparators
