Job Profile
The company is searching for a Tool and Die Maker who will build and maintain dies and fixtures using the latest state-of-the-art technology to meet required customer specifications and ensure customer satisfaction.
Produce a final product that meets the Brunk high-quality standards with some of the smallest tolerances in the industry.
Education Level
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
Work Experience
- Journeyman Certificate with 4 years of apprenticeship and 2 years of experience.
Duties/Responsibilities
- Assist in press setup as required.
- Build, repair, maintain, troubleshoot, and debug progressive dies and new tooling.
- Complete data entry activities in a timely and accurate manner
- Cooperate with other employees to satisfy the job requirements.
- Ensure accuracy and quality on all jobs.
- Follow all safety procedures and regulations.
- Knowledge of CNC and wire EDM processes.
- Maintain a tidy and clean workstation.
- Operate and understand the use of hand tools, grinding machinery, milling machinery, drill presses, lathes, band saws, heat-treating ovens, optical comparators, various measuring devices, and die hoists.
- Operate computer die maintenance program and other required computer processes.
- Perform mathematic and geometric functions and possess a mechanical aptitude.
- Possess a working knowledge of SPC
- Possess tools of the trade.
- Read blueprints.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Ability to analyze blueprints, and determine materials, machines, and components required to make, modify, or repair tools, dies, etc.
- Attention to accuracy, details, and due dates.
- Good communication skills and team skills are required to complete projects on time.
- Problem-solving Critical Thinking skills
- Understand the operation of computer and tool room equipment.
Work Environment
- Must wear protective shoes, safety glasses, shop coat and wear ear protection while working around loud noises.
- Work is in a manufacturing setting with noise and some grinding dust. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and push/pull 100 to 2500 lbs. using die carts.
