Job Profile

The company is seeking a Tool & Die Maker who will be involved in the machining or processing of metal parts by operating industrial machine tools, equipment, or systems in one or more departments.

Education Level

• Not mentioned, yet a High School Diploma will be a plus

Work Experience

• Formal training or work experience with machining practices, CNC programming, and materials

Duties/Responsibilities

• Maintain machine and work area in a clean and safe manner
• Makes tools, dies, fixtures, parts from prints, or instructions with part specifications.
• Precision grinding and resurfacing of metal parts
• Sets up and operates jobs on manual and CNC vertical lathes, milling machines, and precision grinders to make or modify parts
• Supports manufacturing with tooling design, building, repairing, or modification projects and problem-solving
• Use precision measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Ability to read, interpret, and work from detailed drawings and prints
• Accuracy
• Consistently stand for an entire shift
• Good math skills
• Good work ethic and reliable
• Physically able to handle heavy items including lifting, pushing, pulling, and positioning components.
• Positive attitude
• Simple oral communication skills; ability to read and comprehend instructions written in English and complete simple logs and reports in English
• Strong mechanical ability
• Willing to be trained with a desire to learn a trade
• Work scheduled hours and comply with the company’s timekeeping policy and all other company policies.
• Work with others and be a team player
