• Currently working towards obtaining a valid Tool and Die Makers Certificate

Duties/Responsibilities

Principal Roles-

• Address employee suggestions as required and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Comply with all ISO14001 and TS16949 standards.
• Coordinate, implement, and monitor the effectiveness of all initiatives generated to improve productivity, safety, and report back when done, and any other duties that may be assigned.
• Drive quality improvements of tools based on changeover times, hits/hour, and quality.
• Ensure tools are ready according to the production schedule
• Ensures equipment breakdowns and downtime are dealt with immediately.
• Keeps management informed daily – no surprises.
• Maintains timely records and information
• Meet with outside Die shops and obtain quotes for any work to be subcontracted.
• Monitor the production status of dies
• Order spare parts and Tool components,
• Performs customer visits as required.
• Repair and maintenance of dies on time
• Reviews requirements and monitors daily quality status of production tooling to ensure total defect-free shipments.
• Performs all other related duties as assigned.

General Roles-

• Complies with the designated IATF16949 responsibilities, environmental management system, health, safety, and company rules and guidelines.
• Ensures company safety policies are adhered to and safe work habits are utilized by all department personnel and visitors. Wears personal protective equipment (PPE) as always required
• Maintains a high standard of general housekeeping consistent with 5S standards
• Strives for continuous improvement
