Job Profile

The company is hiring a Tool Mechanic to join its team.

Education Level

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 18 years of age or older

Work Experience

  • 3-5 years of experience.
  • Must possess a good understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic systems, welding and fabrication, and electronically controlled engines.
  • Must be self-motivated, safety-oriented, and have the ability to work with limited supervision in the shop and the field.
  • A valid driver’s license with a driving record within company-established parameters

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Diagnoses trouble, disassembles engines and examines parts for defects and excessive wear.
  • May weld and cut parts, using arc welding and flame-cutting equipment.
  • Reconditions and replaces parts, such as pistons, bearings, gears, valves, and bushings, using hand tools, boring machines, and precision measuring instruments.
  • Repairs and maintains tools and equipment used to power machines, such as construction machinery, generators, busses, dump trucks, off-road dump trucks, and cranes, using hand tools, precision measuring instruments, computer diagnostics, and machine tools.
  • Responsible for observing and complying with all company safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Ability to lift up to 60 pounds
  • Ability to pass pre-employment physical and drug screen
  • Ability to work in an outdoor environment
