Job Profile

The company is hiring a Tooling Assembly Technician who will be responsible for the assembly, wiring, modification, and refurbishing of Proseal toolsets.

Ensure tooling and other equipment function properly and meet customer expectations.

Education Level

Work Experience

  • Mechanical, electrical, or otherwise technical training or related experience (preferred)
  • Experience driving a Forklift (a plus)

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Assemble products to specification by following standard build procedures with the use of hand and power tools
  • Complete PDI check sheets and document the build process to company standard
  • Ensure that company health and safety procedures are being adhered to daily
  • Operate CNC bending equipment, welding equipment, and cleaning and etching machinery
  • Operate forming equipment to produce components for tooling and spare orders
  • Operate pedestal drills, pneumatic tapping arms, and deburring tables to prepare tooling and machine components for assembly
  • Performance testing and quality checking of assembled tooling
  • Prepare work to be accomplished by reading and interpreting 2D and 3D drawings and models, reviewing bills of materials, gathering parts, tools, and materials
  • Report any quality control issues to your Supervisor
  • Troubleshoot issues or errors of assembled tooling during the testing phase

Preferred Qualifications

  • Technology based Associates Degree/Technical or Vocational training (preferred)
  • Valid United States driver’s license and clean driving record (preferred)

  • Ability to use hand tools safely and effectively
  • Able to read and understand technical schematics
  • Able to work overtime as needed
  • Aptitude for performing technical tasks
  • Demonstrate a high degree of reliability, flexibility, and self-motivation
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Pass background check requirements
  • Pass drug screening requirements
  • Problem-solving skills

Work Environment

  • Able to lift up to 75 lbs.
  • Stand continuously for long periods
  • Wearing of safety clothing and equipment is required
  • Work in a climate-controlled factory
