Job Profile

The company is seeking a Toolmaker who will perform machining operations and bench work to construct, alter, and repair tools, dies, fixtures, jigs, attachments, mold gauges, etc. of complicated design and purpose to close tolerances and finish requirements.

Educational Qualification

• High School Diploma or GED (preferred)

Work Experience

• 5+ years of experience in the same trade; building shop aids, fixtures, tools, and gages per sketches and blueprints

Duties/Responsibilities

• Adhere to all Company health, safety, and environmental policies while performing job duties
• Adhere to and promote the Corporate Code of Ethical Standards
• Benchwork and assembly
• Embrace/implement continuous improvement and lean principles in all activities
• Ensure compliance with Quality Control Manual (QCM)
• Heat treatments, sawing, hot forming, and sandblasting
• Inspection and measurements of machined parts
• Maintain department safety and housekeeping standards
• Manual turning, milling, drilling, pressing, tapping, grinding, etc.
• Manufacture and repair of production tooling, fixturing, and gages.
• Regular and reliable attendance

Licenses/Certifications

• Certificate in machine shop trade school (a plus)
• Must pass applicable Tool Maker test

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Ability to use hand-held measuring tools
• Ability to work effectively individually or as part of a team
• Able to read/write in English
• Must be able to follow oral and written instructions
• Must possess basic math skills
• Passing grade on CNC Machine Operator Test
