The company is hiring a Toolroom Attendant who will be familiar with tools and consumables.

Hand out and receive both tools and parts.

Order consumables and tools, and maintain a log of distribution.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Alert purchasing once the inventory reaches the minimum level.
• Clean tools and equipment on return.
• Distribute tools, parts, and consumables.
• Follow the rules and practices of work safety.
• Learn the parts inventory system.
• Locate and distribute tools as requested.
• Maintain a spreadsheet of daily inventory usage.
• May be involved in the safety committee.
• May be required to operate a forklift and a local delivery vehicle.
• Order consumables, tools, and parts and maintain a log of distribution.
• Perform local delivery.
• Perform other duties as assigned

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Organized
• Read, write, and speak proficiently in English
• The ability to operate a computer system at the appropriate level

Work Environment

• Ability to tolerate both high and low temperatures, and loud noises typical of a manufacturing plant
• May require work/maintenance coverage beyond the normal hours, shift, and on weekends/holidays
• Work environment includes the plant, warehouse, production, and non-production areas, and the plant grounds.
