Job Profile

The company is searching for a Transformer Tester who will perform across departments team functions necessary to accomplish manufacturing Department transformer production requirements to ensure customer on-time delivery.

Education Level

High School Diploma or GED
Welding Certification

Work Experience

A minimum of 2 years of experience in coil winding
Experience with welding and being able to determine a good vs. bad weld
Foil Winding Experience

Duties/Responsibilities

100% quality audit on every weld done in coil winding.
If defects are spotted, this position is to get with the winder that created the defect and train them to correct the issue.
Initial test card for units, that pass the test and route to the next workstation. Notify supervision of unusual test results or abnormal failure tests.
Meet team production targets daily.
Observe for equipment malfunctions, incorrect lead connections, and improperly inserted or wrong test cards for units, that fail tests; take appropriate corrective action and retest the unit.
Observe for pass/fail indicators or compare results to acceptable limits.
Perform all standard tests using required manual and automatic test equipment such as ratio, impulse, and over-potential testers; ohm, watt, and voltmeters; oscilloscope; etc.
Spot-check paper and foil quality to confirm it meets specifications.
