The base element is a V-shaped wire that is welded onto support wires in an automated process. Job Profile
The company is seeking a Lead Fabricator (TIG Welder) who will mainly fabricate TIG weld stainless steel and nickel alloy products.
Troubleshoot, solve problems and share knowledge and experience with the rest of the team.
The position will report to the operations manager directly.
Educational Level
- Not mentioned, yet a High School Diploma will be a plus
Work Experience
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in the field as a stainless-steel fitter/welder is an absolute must
Duties/Responsibilities
- Strictly adhere to the company’s safety and quality policies
- Strictly adhere to the ISO 9001 procedures
- Communicate any issues with the operations manager
- Fit, form, fabricate, and TIG weld on our stainless-steel and nickel products
- Lead a team of welders/fabricators/machine operators
- Need to qualify and adhere to project-specific weld procedures
- Operate shop equipment such as rollers, press breaks, shear/nibbler, etc.
- Perform quality inspections on projects for their duration in your work area or department (dimensional, welding strength, etc.)
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Affinity with metal fabrication is crucial
- Fluent in English (speak), Spanish is helpful, but it is not a must
- Read and understand: Technical drawings including welding symbols
- Work in a very detailed/punctual-oriented manner
- Work well in a team environment
