Job Profile
The company is looking for a Truck Body Installer who will handle welding operation, torch operation, grinding, hand tool/power tool operation, truck layout, print reading, and operational testing.
Educational Qualification
- No education level is mentioned, yet a High School Diploma will be a plus
Work Experience
- Possess work-related experience (a plus)
Duties/Responsibilities
- Chips or grinds off excess weld, slag, or splatter
- Operates drill press, band saw, parts washer, and overhead hoist
- Install basic electric and hydraulics (installing PTOs and hydraulic pumps)
- Perform MIG weld along vertical and horizontal weld lines and examine welds for bead size and other specifications. This also includes torch setup and use.
- Review the truck chassis with the model of a hoist to be mounted and plan out what steps are necessary to complete the installation. This includes modifications to truck chassis for required hoist clearances
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- The use of hand tools and power tools is necessary
