Job Profile

The company is searching for a Vehicle Maintenance Mechanic who will be responsible for the repairs and preventative maintenance of the company-owned fleet.

Education Level

• High School Diploma or equivalent (required)

Work Experience

• 1+ years of prior experience working on heavy-duty trucks and equipment.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Assist drivers with addressing outstanding vehicle issues.
• Assure that the Equipment is properly parked/secured in compliance with the facility permit and DOT requirements.
• Complete the daily checklist as required
• Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes, and acting safely at all times;
• Maintain the facility via housekeeping duties
• Move company equipment safely on the yard as needed.
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks and inspections on company vehicles and equipment;
• Perform routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment, vehicles, and machinery;
• Performs other duties and tasks as assigned from time to time by management and will be required by the needs of the Clean Harbors business.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Ability to pass a background, drug, and physical test upon hire
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Must provide their own basic tools
• Related mechanical certifications preferred (not required)
