Job Profile

The company is searching for a Weld Machine Repair Tech who will troubleshoot and repair various electro-mechanical equipment and perform trial runs of equipment to test quality and performance.

Develop detailed service reports to document service, issues, and troubleshooting actions and logs and track maintenance hours and activities.

Education Level

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED); technical certification (preferred)

Work Experience

  • 2 years of experience in electrical repair/testing experience (preferred)
  • 2 years of industry experience and training (preferred)

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Ensures all applicable regulatory (OSHA, FDA, DOT, EPA) requirements are met and applicable training and recordkeeping are performed to meet departmental and location deadlines.
  • Complies with all government and company standards relating to the safe handling of hazardous materials/cylinder gases.
  • Exemplifies, promotes, and develops safe work behaviors.
  • Maintains compliance with all Safety Management Systems requirements and all associated paperwork.
  • Manages paperwork to DOT, FDA, OSHA, and Airgas standards.

Essential Functions-

  • Determines replacement parts from lists and catalogs, or repairs parts, such as motor drive controls, motors, belts, transformers, bushings, bearings, gears, etc.
  • Disassembles machine, using hand tools.
  • Maintains a neat, clean, and orderly repair shop appearance.
  • May rewire electrical circuits.
  • May solder loose connections.
  • measuring instruments.
  • Performs inspection of the machine and observes operation to detect the cause of malfunction.
  • Pulls assigned equipment for repair from inventory using appropriate equipment.
  • Reassembles machine, using hand tools, welding and brazing equipment and
  • Responds to customer calls professionally and efficiently.
  • Set up and start the repaired machine to verify operation.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Additional Responsibilities-

  • Ability to be certified and safely operate a forklift, pallet jack, and other warehouse
  • equipment as required.
  • Assist with inventory, housekeeping, and demonstrations as required.
  • Other duties and projects as assigned.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Strong background in the welding machine repair industry (preferred)
