Job Profile
The company is seeking a Weld Manufacturing Engineer who will provide weld engineering and robot technical support for current welding operations.
Educational Qualification
- Applicants should have a Bachelor’s Degree in Weld Engineering, Agriculture Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering from a college or university
Work Experience
- Experience designing, maintaining, and improving weld fixtures and tooling
- Experience programming and maintaining Fanuc robot weld equipment
- Experience with WeldPro offline weld robot programming
- Experience working well within a team environment and across different levels of the organization
Duties/Responsibilities
- Actively support and participate in the department’s continuous improvement projects
- Create, audit, and maintain weld Operator Method Sheets
- Develop and implement cell layouts to improve material flow and material presentation in areas of responsibility
- Develop offline robot programs for new and revised welded assemblies on robot systems currently in production
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Knowledge of drawing and schematic interpretation, product models, geometric dimensioning, and tolerancing
Desired Qualifications
- Certified Welding Inspector (CWI)
- Develop, maintain, and edit PLC and HMI programs
- Experience designing process controls for mistake proofing
- Experience procuring weld tooling or weld robot capital equipment
- Experience with robotic welding integrators
