Job Profile

The company is looking for a Weld Process Specialist who will work closely with our customers to understand their needs and recommend the right products and solutions.

Educational Level

• Associate Degree Welding (AAS), Military Weld training acceptable or Bachelor’s Degree (Engineering) from a 4-year college or university or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Work Experience

• Must have a minimum of 4-5 years in the welding Industry
• Previous experience in Sales is required. Technical Sales experience (preferred)
• CWSR (AWS Certified Welding Sales Representative)

Duties/Responsibilities

• Ability to be a team player with a positive attitude towards other associates, customers, and the work environment.
• Ability to be flexible and able to “shift gears” in the face of interrupted schedules, canceled appointments, and unfulfilled promises.
• Demonstrate a strong interest in welding processes and applications.
• Demonstrate basic knowledge and understanding of welding.
• An established track record as a producer could supersede educational requirements.
• Must be able to apply mathematical formulas that quantify the costs associated with the processes so analysis and comparisons may be created.
• TQM, Lean, or Six Sigma background.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Must be self-motivated and results/action-oriented.
• Must be proficient with computer applications including but not limited to Microsoft and Google Office products.
• Must be self-motivated, success-oriented, mechanically, technically, and detail-oriented.
• Must have good presentation and communication skills and confidence to permit selling to high-level officers of customer companies.
