Job Profile
The company is searching for a Weld Production Supervisor who will be responsible for planning, organizing, and leading people, materials, equipment, and processes to achieve established safety, quality, delivery, and profit goals while maintaining positive employee relations.
Apply lean manufacturing tools and techniques to continuously improve safety, cost, quality, and efficiency in their areas.
Education Level
- Bachelor’s Degree, or an Associate’s Degree plus 3 years of experience in Supervising/Manufacturing, or High School Diploma and 5 years of experience in Supervising/Manufacturing
Work Experience
- Experience in performing MIG welding and Robotic Welding
Duties/Responsibilities
- Administers and facilitates time standards in conjunction with Manufacturing Engineering to maintain fair and proper standards throughout the department.
- Administers operating budgets and monitors results to ensure departmental objectives are achieved.
- Develops and maintains positive employee relations within the guidelines of company policy.
- Ensure a safe and clean work environment by adhering to and implementing CNH safety programs, policies, and regulations.
- Human resource activities such as employee selection, pay administration, employee counseling, training, performance reviews, discipline for hourly employees, and the administration of policies and agreements.
- Implements company strategies and process changes at the operational level of the organization.
- Maintain required levels of inventory and develop and implement corrective action plans when required.
- Monitors and coordinates the maintenance of equipment in the department to meet work schedule.
- Perform continuous improvement activities aimed at improving safety, efficiency, quality, and costs.
- Producing quality parts and finished goods that meet established quality goals.
- Supervises and directs hourly employees in the production of parts, components, and finished products to meet established efficiency targets and when missing these targets to develop and implement corrective action plans.
- To lead and direct Kaizen’s and Continuous Improvement projects.
- To supervise their area for abnormalities from standard in man, material, machine, and method and to take appropriate actions on time in order deal with this abnormality. This includes abnormalities in the standard processes, standard machine operation, product quality, and logistics management.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Experience participating in and leading continuous improvement activities.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in supervisory/leadership in a manufacturing environment.
- Multi-functional experience (Quality, Materials, Engineering, Human Resources, Safety)
- Proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office suite of programs.
