Job Profile

The company is searching for a Welder who will be responsible for various types of weld preparation, welding, and weld finishing operations to manufacture equipment to customer drawings, specifications, or other forms of instruction by using specific welding techniques and Weld experience, advanced skills, and judgment to complete.

Educational Qualification

• No, any education level is required, yet having a High School Diploma will be a plus.

Work Experience

• The candidates are expected to have previous work experience.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Assists during welding of components in areas of expertise. Teaches other welders proper techniques and procedures for mastered key weldments.
• Assists with the design and set-up of work centers.
• Completes required weld documentation including line check sheets, and material movement paperwork.
• Designs, fabricates, joins, and/or repairs equipment, fixtures, and various types of metal objects and structures using MIG, TIG, Inner shield, and Flux-cored Arc Welding (Dual shield) techniques.
• Determines layout of weld parts according to drawings and company/customer requirements.
• Executes welds in all positions including from underneath, to the side, in a variety of shapes such as in a tube, and more.
• Moves weldment to the next process verifying it meets JBT AeroTech specifications.
• Performs all duties in a safe manner and keeps all employees aware of dangers in the work area.
• Practices good housekeeping in the work area.
• Recommends improvements to Weldment Procedures. May draft new procedures as assigned.
• Responsible for understanding and following all Hazardous Waste Management duties and responsibilities.
• Troubleshoots problems, identifies and communicates design discrepancies. Identifies and suggests design improvements.
• Uses material handling equipment to move parts, components, and weldments from one work or storage area to another as required.
• Welds according to JBT AeroTech specifications. Applies specialized skills in procedures, techniques, tools, materials, or equipment in the area of expertise.
• Other projects and responsibilities may be added at the company’s discretion.

Training Requirements (Licenses/Certificates)

• Appropriate Welding Certification
• Crane and Jib Certification
• Appropriate Moving Vehicle Certification
