Job Profile

The company is looking for a Welder who will be responsible for using Metal Inert Gas (MIG) welding to fabricate products from blueprints with careful attention to detail to meet and exceed customer expectations.

Educational Qualification

• The applicants should have a High School Diploma/GED OR
• Demonstrated ability to read, write, and perform mathematical calculations at a High School Level

Work Experience

• The candidates should have 1-year of experience in MIG Welding in a Production setting.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Adjust welder settings based on metallurgical properties of metal used in a blueprint to ensure quality welds
• Operate hand grinders as needed
• Visually inspect work and fixturing on an ongoing basis to check quality standards and the appearance of the product
• Work from blueprints, to set up and weld parts using appropriate fixtures

Preferred Qualifications

• 3-5 years experience MIG Welding in a Production setting
• Associates Degree in any field
• AWS Certification
• Knowledge of metallurgical properties or related coursework

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Ability to communicate effectively and work in a cooperative manner to support a team environment
• Ability to read and follow welding symbols on blueprints
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time and lift up to 50lbs
