Job Profile

The company is looking for a Welder who will be responsible for the day-to-day safe and efficient execution of preventive, routine, and immediate maintenance requirements across Nutrien, Redwater Fertilizer Operations in a safe, timely, cost-effective, and efficient manner.

Primary responsible for the maintenance and repair of utility and process piping as well as fixed equipment such as drums, towers, and exchangers.

Educational Qualification

  • Applicants should have a High School Diploma
  • Journeyman Electrical/Interprovincial Ticket and B-Pressure Certification

Must hold and maintain current B-Pressure welding certifications including to P1-P1 and P1-P8 at a minimum; other exotic alloy welding certifications will be required on an as-needed basis

  • Possess 5 years of relevant experience

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Active participation in team safety meetings, audits, and Job Task Observation of peers
  • Assisting with the fabrication, installation, and maintenance of piping components and systems including steam traps, check valves, manual isolation valves, as well as fixed equipment such as tanks, towers, and exchangers
  • Provide input on preventative maintenance opportunities, provide input and updates on PM plans to ensure accuracy, and submit work requests to address abnormal conditions
  • Troubleshoot, plan and repair on short notice, high-priority work safely and effectively
  • Utilize SAP for daily maintenance activities

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication, and team skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Thorough understanding of the PEIMS manual and ABSA code requirements
  • Working knowledge of SAP, Sharepoint, and InTools is considered an asset
