Job Profile

The company is recruiting a Welder who will apply appropriate welding processes to meet specifications.

Inspect and repair welds as needed to support the production and assembly of exhaust pipe components.

Perform as an active team member in performing other tasks within the cell.

Tends one or more machine tools, special purpose machines, industrial robots, or hand welders to machine metal work pieces to specifications on a production rate basis.

Educational Qualification

  • Applicants should have a High School Diploma or GED

Work Experience

  • Must pass weld test and as a MIG welder

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Adds coolant to machine reservoir and turns valve to start the flow of coolant.
  • Cleans machined parts.
  • Files, sands, or shapes machined parts.
  • Inspects and measures machined work pieces to verify conformance to specifications.
  • Lifts workpiece manually or using a hoist and secure workpiece in a fixture or loads automatic feeding device.
  • Mig welds product parts to specification either by machine or manually.
  • Moves machine controls and guides to adjust the machine.
  • Replaces worn machine accessories such as cutting tools or brushes.
  • Starts machine, engages feed and observes operation.
  • Tends machines and equipment other than machine tools.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
