Job Profile

The company is seeking a Welder who can use hand-welding or flame-cutting equipment to weld or join metal components or fill holes, indentations, or seams of fabricated metal products.

Educational Qualification

  • The applicants should be High School graduates or have General Education Degree (GED)

Work Experience

  • The candidates should have 1 plus year of experience in welding.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Chip/grind off excess weld, slag, or spatter, using hand scrapers or power chippers, portable grinders, or arc-cutting equipment
  • Clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend, grind or bolt component parts
  • Comply with safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and regulations
  • Feather or remove tacks using electric or pneumatic, grinders prior to welding beading pass
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments using processes, such as gas tungsten arc, gas metal arc, flux-cored arc, and submerged arc welding.
  • Operate safety equipment and use safe work habits
  • Remove rough spots from workpieces, using portable grinders, hand files, or scrapers
  • Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions

Position Levels

Welder I

  • 1-2 years of pipe welding experience
  • General knowledge of machines, designs, repair, and maintenance
  • General knowledge of tools, equipment, blueprints, models, and technical plans
  • Maintain a rejection rate of 5% or below

Welder II

  • 2-3 years of pipe welding experience
  • Extensive knowledge of design techniques, production of technical plans, blueprints, models, and drawings
  • Extensive knowledge of materials, methods, and principles involved in the production of precise technical designs, uses, and maintenance
  • Maintain a rejection rate of 4% or below
  • Must be able to perform in most bays
  • Must possess the ability to perform at least three (3) processes

Welder III

  • 3-4 plus years of pipe welding experience
  • Expert knowledge of design techniques, methods, production of precision technical plans, blueprints, and drawings
  • Expert knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
  • Maintain a rejection rate of 3% or below
  • Must be able to perform in all bays
  • Must possess the ability to perform and be efficient in three (3) processes

Welder IV

  • 5 plus years of pipe welding experience
  • Expert knowledge of design techniques, methods, production of precision technical plans, blueprints, and drawings
  • Expert knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
  • Maintain a rejection rate of 3% or below
  • Must be able to perform in all bays
  • Must possess the ability to perform and be efficient in three (3) processes
