Job Profile

The company is recruiting a Welder who will perform tack welding operations.

Educational Qualification

  • Applicants should have a High School Graduation or Equivalent
  • Must have mechanical aptitude.

Work Experience

  • Possess 2+ years of experience in a production/Mig welding job with a variety of products to weld.

Duties/Responsibilities

Welding Skills-

  • Must also be able to work on a ladder and on the floor as job permits.
  • Must be able to weld to specifications per each order and be able to weld out of position on mild steel and stainless steel including vertical up.
  • Must be able to work from detailed drawings to tack and weld large fans, which may require building fixturing and shipping brackets.

Other Duties-

  • Desire to do the right thing for our customers.
  • Follow and adhere to prescribed safety regulations and procedures.
  • Maintain general work areas or equipment used in a clean and orderly condition.
  • May assist in the training of new or transferred employees.
  • Monitor quality of own work and report to supervisor defective material, unusual conditions, and operating difficulties. Keep required time or production records.
  • Move completed product to appropriate next work station/process using cranes and forklifts as needed.
  • Once trained, complete tasks as directed by manufacturing schedules with minimum supervision.
  • Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment, machines, or other devices used in the normal course of the work performed.
  • Select, move to the assigned work area, and handle all materials and parts related to the item/product being welded.
  • Work from blueprints, schematics, work orders, or assembly sketches to gather, stage, and assemble products and related items.

Communication Skills-

  • Able to communicate verbally or in writing as to work requirements, work in progress, and or work completion.
  • Communicates verbally or in writing with other workers, members of supervision, and others as necessary.

Mathematical Ability-

  • Able to use basic math to add, subtract, multiply, or divide and may work with fractions, decimals, or percentages.

Reasoning Ability-

  • Able to follow moderately complex instructions or directions.
  • May require the ability to decide on a course/sequence of action.
  • Must have continuous visual and mental attention during the operation of equipment or machines.

Licenses/Certifications

  • Will be required to obtain a forklift license and overhead crane operation certificate.

Work Environment

Physical Demands

  • Regularly required to stand, but also walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, and hear instructions.
  • Frequently required to use hands to use tools and assemble objects.
  • Regularly lift and move up objects up to 50 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
