Educational Qualification

• Applicants should be High School Graduates or GED

Work Experience

• Possess 2 years of experience in welding/fabricating

Duties/Responsibilities

• Clean and prepare surfaces to be welded
• Ensure welds meet standards and specifications
• Fabricate metal building and metal roofing components
• Follow work procedures and tool and material requirements
• Receive job duties from the team lead
• Select and set up welding equipment
• Use a plasma torch, grinding wheel, band saw, or other instruments for cutting metal
• Use a rod or wire and heat to join metals
• Other projects and responsibilities may be added at the company’s discretion

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist
• Ability to maintain a constant state of alertness in a safe manner
• Ability to read blueprints
• Ability to stoop, bend, and stand for long periods of time
• Ability to work in degrees of precision and control where damage could be considerable
• Agreement to wear protective equipment for exposure to glare, burn, and shrapnel
• Ambition – Drive to achieve personal advancement
• Attention and care are required to prevent injury to self or others when performing work
• Autonomy – Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Detail Oriented – Ability to pay attention to the minute details of a project or task

• Occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles; extreme heat and vibration
• The noise level in the work environment is usually loud
• Required to work in a manufacturing environment facility and at times on job sites
• Wear the proper protective equipment as required
• While performing duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts; toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock
• Working well under pressure – Ability to complete assigned tasks under stressful situations
