Job Profile
The company is looking for a Welder who will weld parts and components for equipment, products, and installations by means of MIG, MAG, TIG, electrode welds, or any other welding application.
Working with tight deadlines, challenging mechanical problems, and discussing the work with the manager before, during, and after work completion.
Educational Qualification
- Applicants should have a High School Diploma or GED
Work Experience
- Possess 3-5 years of relevant experience
- Welder certificate
Duties/Responsibilities
- Able to define, evaluate, and discuss quality workmanship related to welding.
- Apply an understanding of the process flow of documents, materials, and parts through the repair or manufacturing process.
- Assembly activities during production.
- Carry out relevant heat treatment operations according to heat treatment operation instructions or process documents.
- Clean and maintain machines and tools and keep an organized workspace.
- Collaborate with machinists and assemblers on the team to discuss and solve problems relating to repairs and equipment.
- Complete all welding work assigned according to operating instructions.
- Demonstrated track record of reliable, dependable attendance; able to work overtime and weekends as required on short notice.
- Have welding experience in a manufacturing or repair environment.
- Maintain a safe workplace by wearing relevant protective equipment according to safety protection requirements, following procedures and rules, and completing training.
- Meet production goals relating to efficiency, schedules, and scrap.
- Must show a customer-service mindset for on-time delivery and quality work.
- Plan and lay out work from blueprints and manufacturers’ specification sheets, using shop math and measuring instruments.
- Proper Identification of materials and component preparation.
- Record accurate, timely data on computer-based systems or in manual logs.
- Select the appropriate welding method, such as TIG, MIG, MAG, or stick.
- Setting up and operating a conventional lathe for the preparation of welded parts.
- Standing for long times required, repetitive arm motions, frequent lifting with occasional lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Troubleshoot and correct process and equipment problems.
- Verify the quality of finished work, demonstrating an in-depth understanding of specifications and workmanship
- Welding installations based on technical drawings.
- Welding repairs on raw and finished parts.
- Other duties as assigned.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Available full time
- Can work independently, flexibly, and accurately
- Good team spirit and initiative
- Good technical understanding
- Post welds heat treatment experience
- PT and MT-related certificates are preferred
- SAP knowledge
- Welding experience in mechanical manufacturing or the valve industry
