Job Profile

The company (Morgan Olson) is recruiting a Welder who will perform various welding operations (Mig, Tig, Stick) promptly and orderly to ensure work meets company and customer specifications and standards.

Education Level

• High School Diploma or GED (required)

Work Experience

• Possess work-related experience (a plus)
• Must Pass the Welding Test

Duties/Responsibilities

• Adheres to Quality policy by exceeding customer expectations, being customer-focused, and supporting continuous improvement activities
• Adheres to Safety policies and practices behavioral safety 100% of the time
• Familiar with measuring tools
• Maintains cleanliness of machines and equipment and general work area
• Maintains proper maintenance on welding guns
• Sets and adjusts welding machine for optimal weld and quality assurance
• Set up, assemble, align, secure, and clamp component parts with jibs and fixtures to tack or finish weld together aluminum or steel parts as called for by shop routings
• Supports and participates in Morgan Olson’s PPS team efforts
• Work from blueprints, work orders, or as instructed by the supervisor/group leader
• Other duties as required

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Extensive standing, turning, walking, and arm extension are required to operate spray paint guns.
• PPE: Steel-toed safety shoes, paint coveralls, gloves, and painter’s hoods with constant airflow required. Other PPE such as respirators may be required depending on the task.
