Job Profile

The company is looking for a Welder who will primarily use MIG welders to weld specific hollow metal frame materials. Precision and craftsmanship are of utmost importance as the work often includes modifications such as preparing for locksets, hinges, glass kits, access control devices, and other related products.

Education Level

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (required)
• College Degree (preferred)

Work Experience

• Proficiency in using welders, with a preference for MIG welding experience

Duties/Responsibilities

• Assemble hollow metal frame materials and commercial hardware.
• Conduct MIG welding of hollow metal frame materials and commercial hardware.
• Frequently perform tasks such as saw cutting, grinding, and sanding related materials.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Demonstrated basic knowledge of welding principles
• Ability to work independently, efficiently, and meet deadlines
• Basic construction knowledge, especially about hollow metal and commercial hardware applications.
• Effective communication skills
• Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Familiarity with woodworking tools for working on wood doors
• Strong attention to detail

Physical Demands

• The role involves standing, kneeling, crouching, stooping, using hands, and reaching for more than two-thirds of the time.
• Walking and talking/hearing makeup approximately one-third of the time.
• Frequent lifting of items weighing 25-50 pounds is required.

Work Environment

• Conditions may include proximity to forklifts or other heavy machinery and the use of various tools and hardware.
• The worker is subject to frequent heavy lifting.
