Job Profile
The company is seeking a Welder who will be responsible for tig, and vacuum welding various metals per many specifications. This includes automated and hand-welding.
Educational Level
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
Work Experience
- Possess work-related experience (a plus)
Duties/Responsibilities
- Aids in brazing before and after brazing operations.
- Assists the Weld Engineer and establishes welding schedules by setting proper argon flow, arc voltage amperes, holding pressure, carriage speed, welding wire feed, etc., on all mechanized weld equipment.
- Basic housekeeping to maintain and clean the area.
- Checks completed units with various precision measuring instruments for conformity to specifications.
- Maintain Audit ready work area
- Operates computer-aided automatic welders such as Panjerus Air/Rototab welding equipment.
- Performs all welding except maintenance on tooling work
- Performs major and minor repair or rework on parts or assemblies, installs parts, and performs final clean-up on completed assemblies
- Responsible for attaining and maintaining weld certifications with all customers for all metals and thickness
- Sets up and operates manual inert gas fusion welding equipment to perform weld operations.
- Sets up and operates welding equipment and loads welding fixtures to perform mechanized automatic inert gas arc welding operations.
- Sets up and runs certification and qualification on welding equipment as required by specifications.
- Welds in various positions with mechanized equipment on parts or assemblies held by fixtures with or without chill bars on fixtures.
- Welds metal parts together using both gas welding and a combination of arc welding processes, including MIG and TIG
