Job Profile
The company is seeking a Welder to join its team at the Bridgeville pump manufacturing and repair facility.
Educational Qualification
- The applicants should have a High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Vocational certification in welding preferred
Work Experience
- The candidates should have a minimum of 2 years of welding experience
- Experienced with weld procedures, including pre-heats and post-weld heat treats
- Must have experience in setting up and utilization of rotary positioners
Duties/Responsibilities
- Complete fabrications of both plate and tube stock
- Complete fit restoration on inside and outside diameters as well as shoulders and faces
- Complete hardness checks and document results
- Complete weld touch-up in various areas of the facility using a portable welder
- Heat treat and anneal parts by the method of Lucifer oven and document results
- Maintain welder continuity logs in an online SharePoint site
- Set up and utilization of rotary positioners
- Utilize MIG, TIG, and Stick welding methods on materials such as 300 and 400 series stainless sheets of steel, Inconel, and a variety of steels
- Weld repair castings defects to restore casting integrity
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Ability to read and interpret drawings using conventional tolerances as well as geometric tolerances
- Able to define, evaluate and discuss quality workmanship related to welding
- Complete own set-ups, troubleshoot and solve problems with welding processes and results
- Must be proficient in welding with MIG, TIG, and stick in materials such as 300 and 400 series stainless sheets of steel, Inconel, and/or a variety of steels
- Computer literate
- Ability to read and follow route sheets/Blue Prints
- Work well with people
- Product/Process knowledge
- Self –Starter
- QC testing/NDT knowledge would be a plus
- Work overtime as required
