Job Profile
The company is recruiting a Welder who will weld fabricated or prefabricated parts according to instructions using various welding techniques under minimum supervision.
Education Level

- Previous experience with ASME-certified equipment and qualification under ASME standards
Duties/Responsibilities
- Adjusts welding machines to maintain optimum operating
- Knows proper fit-up position of work to be welded; reads, interprets, and refers to weld procedures as
- Operates overhead cranes to transport materials within the fabrication shop as well as position materials for
- Performs arc gouging, grinding, and scaling to facilitate
- Position and secure workpieces using clamps, fixtures, and other tools to achieve the desired configuration.
- Set up welding machines and select the proper settings for the material and thickness being
- Sets up and operates various welding machines including Stick, Mig, and Flux core to complete fabricated
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, layouts, specifications, cut sheets, welding symbols,
- Ability to stand, bend, and stoop for extended periods
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
- Good organizational skills
- Good vision and hearing to recognize potential hazards and ensure quality welds
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
- Knowledge of welding methods, materials, and practices
