Job Profile

The company is looking for a Welder who will utilize acquired welding skills to weld steel material and modify a truck chassis to customer specs.

This position will consist mostly of modification work and some welding.

Education Level

• Not mentioned, a High School Diploma (a plus)

Work Experience

• Experience in a manufacturing-related field (preferred)
• Proficiency in Steel and Aluminum MIG Welding (preferred)
• Experience or knowledge in tractor-trailer building (preferred)
• Mechanical experience (preferred)
• Mechanical proficiency (preferred)
• Must pass company-approved weld test (experienced welders only)

Duties/Responsibilities

• Communicate with supervisors/managers issues of concern, and any other pertinent information that affects safety and the productive completion of quality products, and the schedule of products
• Keep the work area clean and organized during and at the end of the shift
• Organize and restock parts and materials
• Perform and abide by safety policies and procedures while welding and performing other related task assignments
• Perform assignment of work to contribute to the material, parts, and products produced according to MAC’s quality and quantity standards while supporting a safe work environment
• Perform daily custom build, fit-up, and welding assignments
• Review specification documentation and information related to assignments to ensure products are manufactured to customer specifications and Beall’s quality standards
• Any other duties assigned

• Demonstrated ability to read, understand, and comprehend job specifications, measurements, or detailed drawings
• Demonstrated ability to successfully perform basic math and measurement functions
• Oral comprehension and expression skills to listen to and understand information and ideas presented verbally, and then effectively communicate the information and ideas verbally

Work Environment

• Ability to keep your hand and arm steady while moving your arm or while holding your arm and hand in one position
• Ability to lift 50 pounds
• Ability to make precisely coordinated movements of the fingers of one or both hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble very small objects
• Ability to physically inspect own work and perform work in various positions
• Ability to push, pull, and lift various materials, including aluminum, steel, and parts
• Ability to quickly move your hand, your hand together with your arm, or your two hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects
