Job Profile

The company is recruiting a Welder who will operate TIG and MIG welding machines, including powering up, cleaning, and finishing welds on various parts, and maintaining cleanliness while working.

Expected to meet productivity and quality requirements while performing welds according to specifications

Education Level

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent

Work Experience

  • 2-3 years of MIG/TIG welding experience
  • Experience welding for pressurized devices, i.e., tanks, valves
  • Must possess experience in welding Stainless Steel, Carbon Steel, Monel, and Hastalloy B&C

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Complete assigned work within the given timeframe and according to the specifications
  • Complete housekeeping and 5S duties in assigned areas or project areas regularly
  • Complete the required paperwork relevant to the job
  • Ensure the assigned work is understood before commissioning
  • Examine work pieces for defects, and measure work pieces with straightedges or templates to ensure conformance with specifications
  • Layouts, position, align, and secure parts and assemblies before assembly, using straightedges, combination squares, calipers, and rulers
  • Monitor the fitting, burning, and welding processes to avoid overheating of parts or warping, shrinking, distortion, or expansion of materials
  • Must be able to read blueprints, welding process specifications, and welding symbols
  • Participates in team meetings as required (safety, problem solving, etc.)
  • Perform other job responsibilities as assigned
  • Reorders raw material for Kanban safety stocks
  • Report all non-conforming material to the supervisor
  • Understand and perform to all quality regulations, standards, and policies, including but not limited to ISO 9001:2015 and AAR M-1003. Follow work procedures and ensure the highest level of quality
  • Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions
  • Work safely following all established policies and procedures

  • Must be able to operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fuse metal segments using established processes
  • Must have the ability to weld in all positions with good penetration and quality.

Work Environment

  • Continuously standing, repetitively grasping, and repetitively using fine manipulation with the hands.
  • May be frequently required to walk, bend, squat, or twist as well as repetitively push or pull up to 20 pounds and occasionally 50 pounds with assistance.
  • This position is performed in a shop environment.
  • May be exposed to loud operating machinery, cold temperatures, hot temperatures, chemicals, and vapors.
  • May occasionally be required to work in an office environment.
  • The Welder will use welding equipment, hand and power tools, and measuring instruments etc.
