The company is looking for a Welder B to join its team.

Educational Qualification

• Applicants should have a High School Diploma or Equivalent

Work Experience

• Possess 6 months or more prior MIG welding experience (preferred)
• Previous work-related experience or any vocational training (preferred)
• Certification preferred, not required

Duties/Responsibilities

• Cross-training and knowledge sharing with peers.
• Maintain the length of arc and speed of movement to form specified depth of fusion and bead
• Maintain work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition and follow standard safety practices and regulations.
• May change hoses, fittings, air valves, suspension parts, etc.
• Operate manual welding units and equipment by depositing metal from electrode to workpiece and joining edges of the workpiece
• Position and clamp work pieces together or assemble them in a fixture
• Repair improperly welded pieces and fill holes
• Satisfactorily completes company-approved work samples demonstrating expertise in welding according to company standards.
• Tack assemblies together
• Welds steel, stainless, aluminum, and galvanized.
• Other miscellaneous duties as required/assigned.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Can interpret blueprints, specifications, production layouts, technical drawings, work orders, instructions, etc.
• Demonstrates shop math skills
• Must be able to work independently
