Work Experience

• Minimum of 1-2 years of FCAW (flux-core weld) experience

Duties/Responsibilities

• Follow Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS)
• Proficiently perform flat (1F), horizontal (2F), vertical (3F), and overhead (4F) fillet welds
• Inspect your welds to make sure all Quality requirements are met.
• Follow all safety rules and practices.
• May be involved in safety committees or initiatives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Ability to understand weld quality acceptance criteria.
• Ability to understand weld size requirements.
• May require extensive kneeling, bending, walking, or standing for long periods.
• May require working above ground (15 ft. or more)
• May require working in narrow or confined workspaces for extended periods.
• Metatarsal steel-toe boots are required at the time of hire.
• Must be able to climb ladders or stairs to reach objects, comfortable with heights.
• Must be able to perform welding work while wearing all required personal protective equipment including, but not limited to, a filtering facepiece or tight-fitting respirator.
• Must demonstrate an ability to satisfactorily pass vertical fillet and overhead fillet weld tests using FCAW-G
