Job Profile
The company is seeking a welder who will repair or assemble pieces or products using a variety of tools and equipment according to equipment specifications.
Educational Qualification
- The applicants should have a High School Diploma or GED
- Specific technical or vocational training or certification preferred
Work Experience
- The candidates should have 3 to 5 years of MIG welding experience
- They should have 3 to 5 years of experience, operating in a similar capacity within a manufacturing or relatable facility
Duties/Responsibilities
- Ability to design and build basic and/or complex structures, supports or framework in the execution of daily tasks.
- Ability to perform oxy/acetylene torch, plasma arc cutting processes.
- Ability to Weld using ARC, MIG processes.
- Create specific weldment set-ups and fixturing to meet geometric requirements
- Identify equipment defects and complete appropriate documentation when defects are identified
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
- Maintain inventory of manufacturing product and welding consumables
- Operate calipers, weld gauges, tape measures, and other welding hand tool
- Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures
- Perform quality work checks to ensure the product meets quality standards
- Prefer candidate with GMAW and GTAW experience in aluminum and steel
- Prioritize work flow through effective communication with management staff
- Read, interpret and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, weld symbols, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately create equipment and products
- Rework and/or repair welded parts and products according to engineering specification changes
- Utilize handheld tools such as a hand held screw gun, drill gun, and grinders
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly
- Ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve a problem
- Basic computer navigation and utilization skills preferred
- Basic reading skills and must be able to follow directions
- High attention to detail and self-motivation skills
Physical Requirements
- Ability to operate a fork-lift and an overhead crane
- Regularly lift 30-50 pounds
- Regularly perform repetitive tasks
- Regularly possess manual dexterity to put parts or pieces together quickly and accurately
- Work in a team environment and respect all teammates Physical demands and abilities
