Job Profile

The company is seeking a Welder/Fabricator who will perform various skilled mechanical tasks.  Job tasks include fabricating, assembling, and repairing custom machines, and other duties as assigned.

Educational Qualification

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent

Work Experience

  • Must have 3 to 5 years of fabrication experience
  • MIG welding experience (required)

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Assists with design recommendations, training other team members, and advanced problem-solving
  • Build and test equipment, tools, and fixtures using mechanical assembly and fabrication skills
  • Complete assigned documentation
  • Operate industrial equipment including forklifts and production support equipment (training available)
  • Read and interpret drawings and work instructions

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Ability to use industrial tools and equipment such as mechanical hand tools, power drills, taps, grinders, drill presses, bench grinders, industrial band saws, etc.
  • Ability to work Saturdays and overtime, when necessary
  • Able to complete basic mechanical troubleshooting
  • Must be well-organized with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office
  • Strong working knowledge of basic hand tools
  • Uncompromising attitude toward safety, quality, and customer service
  • Understand blueprints and work instructions
  • Working knowledge of electrical components
  • Working knowledge of layout tools and applications (tape measure, square, calipers)

Working Conditions

  • Manufacturing environment; may be exposed to loud noises, changing temperatures, and machinery with moving parts.
  • Must be physically able to push, pull, bend, stoop, climb, reach, frequently lift or move up to 25 pounds, occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds, and stand on concrete.
