Job Profile

The company is seeking a Welder Fabricator who will weld and fabricate parts, assemblies, and weldments following specifications and per company standards.

Responsible for fitting and welding of stainless-steel parts using a TIG process.

Structurally sound/quality welds are critical to the performance of welded assembly/weldment.

Education Level

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

Work Experience

  • Minimum hand tool experience

Duties/Responsibilities

  • External customers/end-users: aesthetically pleasing and structurally sound welds are critical to customer satisfaction: they are a key component of the “fit and finish” of the product.
  • Fitting and tacking the pieces into the weldment – measuring and clamping the material and then tack welding.
  • Participate in all safety programs and follow all safety policies and rules.
  • Pipe fitting
  • Responsible for training and development of newly onboarded employees.
  • TIG Welding (GWAT) – TIG is performed the vast majority of the time
  • Other duties as assigned

Physical Requirements

  • Driving a passenger vehicle.
  • Involves constant standing, as well as climbing over/under equipment and working in awkward positions (squatting, welding on your back or stomach), reaching, bending, and stooping.
  • Periodically required to work in confined spaces.
  • Periodically required to work navigate stairs, take elevators, and climb ladders.
  • Routine lifting of less than 10 lbs. and occasionally up to 30 lbs.
  • Involves exposure to physical hazards associated with working in a metal fabrication/welding environment 100% of the time.
  • Involves indoor/sheltered work. Noise levels exceeding 85 dB are routinely present.
  • Infrequently involves exposure to temperature extremes and fumes/odors consistent with working in a metal fabrication shop.
