Job Profile

The company is searching for a Welder Fabricator who will play a critical role in the production of large, industrial mixing equipment.

Requires a skilled professional who is proficient in cutting, prepping, grinding, and welding stainless steel materials.

Interpret complex blueprints and drawings to cut, machine, bend, and TIG weld metals to precise specifications, ensuring the highest quality and accuracy.

Education Level

  • High School Graduate or GED equivalent

Work Experience

  • 5+ years of welding fabrication experience
  • Completion of a formal apprenticeship or successful completion of an in-company, three-year training program (required)

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Complete all applicable documentation for current operations
  • Machining and weld prepping of raw materials
  • Maintains a clean and safe work area and complies with the company’s safety requirements while meeting time estimates as assigned to each job
  • Maintains, organizes, and cleans equipment and the work area
  • Monitors the welding, heating, and fitting process to ensure parts are not overheated or damaged by warping, distortion, expansion, or shrinkage
  • Notifies supervisor when faulty equipment or defective materials are discovered
  • Plans details of work order procedures; gathers required tools and materials based on instructions and specifications provided for the job
  • Practice 6S principles daily
  • Prepares, assembles, and tacks weld parts and surfaces to be welded
  • Repairs and fabricates various items and equipment using cutting, heating, and welding techniques and equipment
  • Performs other related duties as assigned

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Basic understanding of design techniques, principles, drawings, and tools necessary for the precise production of technical plans, drawings, models, and blueprints
  • Basic understanding of mathematics as related to welding assignments
  • Demonstrated experience collaborating with colleagues and co-workers, with the ability to work effectively both independently and in a supportive diverse team environment
  • Excellent ability to read and listen to assignments given in a variety of forms
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Must be able to see details at close range
  • Must be able to weld components that are vertical, horizontal, or overhead
  • Must have enough manual dexterity and stability as required for precision work
  • Thorough understanding of machines and tools used in welding including designs, uses, maintenance, and repair
