Job Profile

The company is recruiting a Welder Fabricator who will weld, fabricate, and repair a variety of vehicles, equipment, and components, while supported by general supervision and guidance.

Educational Qualification

Work Experience

• The candidates should have 2 years of relevant work experience
• Welding certifications are a plus.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Completes required documentation of all work performed in either paper forms, or through the utilization of fleet maintenance software programs.

• Conducts safety checks on trucks.
• Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate/OSHA Standards.
• Performs a variety of repairs through welding, cutting, forming, and fabrication work as directed and required.”
• Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.
• Performs other maintenance-related work as required.
• Performs standard layouts and set-ups of dimensions and tolerances.
• Qualified in the welding processes such as arc welding, gas welding, aluminum welding, brazing, and soft soldering on a variety of materials.
• Utilizes standard shop hand tools, measuring devices, and equipment.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Basic skills in welding techniques.
• Desired: A minimum of 2 years of work experience in welding and/or fabrication of steel and/or aluminum
• Desired: MIG, Arc, Gas, Wire Feed welding.
• Experience welding on trucks and trailers is a plus

Work Environment

• The normal setting for this job is material recycling facilities, repair/maintenance facilities, outdoors, or other facilities.
• Required to engage in physical activity that includes pushing, pulling, bending, and lifting objects more than 30 pounds.
• Required to stand or work on concrete floors most of the workday.
• Required to use motor coordination with arms, hands, fingers, and legs.
• Required to work from ladders or raised platforms.
• Will be exposed to a physical environment, which involves dirt, odors, noise, weather extremes, or similar elements most of the workday.
