Job Profile

The company is looking for a Welder/Fabricator II to join its team.

Education Level

  • High School Diploma or GED (required); vocational training (preferred)

Work Experience

  • 3 years of experience in welding and fabrication, with proficiency in TIG, MIG, and Stick welding techniques
  • Experience reading blueprints and fabricating complex components
  • Expertise in TIG and MIG welding

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Advanced Welding: Perform complex welds on materials like stainless steel, aluminum, and carbon steel.
  • Equipment Operation: Use and maintain advanced welding equipment and plasma cutters.
  • Fabrication: Build metal components and structures following detailed blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Project Management: Prioritize and manage tasks to meet deadlines, maintaining both quality and efficiency.
  • Quality Assurance: Inspect welds and fabricated parts to ensure they meet specifications and resolve any defects.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Ability to fabricate metal components based on blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and mentor junior staff.
  • Effective problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Strong quality control skills, including the ability to inspect work and troubleshoot defects.

Work Environment

  • Manual Dexterity and Strength: Ability to handle materials, operate tools, and work with precision.
  • Physical stamina to handle demanding tasks, and manual dexterity for precision work.
  • Physical Stamina: Capable of standing for long periods and handling physically demanding tasks.
