Job Profile

The company is searching for a Welder Fitter who will perform fitting and welding using FCAW, GMAW, and GTAW processes in the fabrication, assembly, repair, and maintenance of structures, subsea hardware, and other components manufactured by Global Machine Shop.

Work Experience

Minimum 5 years of experience fitting and welding with FCAW and GMAW processes on carbon and stainless steels.
Minimum 2 years of experience fitting and welding with GTAW process on carbon and stainless steels.
Experience with alloy steel welding (e.g., 4130)
Experience with aluminum welding using the GTAW process
Familiarity with subsea hardware and structures

License/Certification

Must be able to pass AWS D1.1 and D1.6 welder performance qualifications in all positions on plate and pipe.
Previous welder performance qualifications to AWS D1.1, AWS D1.6, or other industry welding codes.

Duties/Responsibilities

Bolt, clamp, and tack weld parts to secure them in position for welding.
Handle both ferrous and non-ferrous materials.
Lay out, position, align, and fit components together following Engineering drawings or schematics.
Perform welding following Engineering-approved welding procedures.
Repair products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts.
Select equipment and plan layout, assembly, and welding.
Set up equipment and weld parts using FCAW, GMAW, and GTAW processes.
Other duties as assigned.
