Job Profile
The company is looking for a Welder I who will apply hard face filler material to nickel alloy turbine airfoils (blades and vanes) and perform plug, lap, or seal welds on turbine engine components. Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (TIG).
Education Level
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
Work Experience
- 1+ years of welding experience
Duties/Responsibilities
- Adhere to all EH&S guidelines, including wearing of required personal protective equipment
- Complete Daily Walk Around (DWA) and utilize the communication log.
- May be required to carry out tasks not specifically listed, within the scope and skill level of this position in support of department objectives and to develop one’s skills.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position approximately 75% of the time.
- Must be able to run all equipment and produce the product at a rate per standard work.
- Read and interpret process sheets.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Aptitude for mathematics, including the ability to read blueprints, and read/work from drawings.
- Proficient with the use of machine tools and precision measuring instruments.
- US citizenship is required, as only US citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
