Job Profile

The company is looking for a Welder (Lithium Refinery) who will interface closely with the Project and Operations teams to support construction and commissioning jobs, while also supporting field repairs and custom fabrication activities as we transition into the core maintenance and reliability organization post-startup.

Be periodically on-call, and may be required to occasionally work nights and weekends. Competitive pay rate selected based on relevant experience; overtime available as driven by business need.

Education Level

• Not mentioned, yet a High School Diploma will be a plus

Work Experience

• 10+ years of experience as a Certified Welder in the petrochemical, refinery, or related field

Duties/Responsibilities

• Create specific weldment set-ups and fixturing to meet geometric requirements
• Cutting various alloys using oxy/acetylene torch and plasma arc processes
• Design and build basic or complex structures, supports, or frameworks in the execution of daily tasks. Work with Engineers and Specialist throughout the design and ultimately fabrication of custom components
• Observe and comply with all safety and project rules.
• Perform x-ray quality welding in all positions using SMAW and GTAW processes on super duplex stainless steel 2205/2507 and carbon steel from sch 10 to sch 160
• Read, interpret, and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, weld symbols, bills of materials, and other written instructions or procedures to accurately create or repair equipment and products
• Utilize handheld tools such as a handheld screw gun, drill gun, and grinders to operate calipers, weld gauges, tape measures, and other welding hand tools
• Performs other duties as required (Fitting, installing, bolting pipe and valves. Rigging, and assisting other crafts as needed)

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Ability to climb and work at heights and in confined spaces (may exceed 100ft).
• Ability to read and understand WPS
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and layout tools safely and efficiently
• Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Must be physically able to carry up to 50 lbs. of tools or material
• Must have command of the English language, both written and verbal
