Job Profile

The company is looking for a Welder Repair Technician who will perform service work on plasma, oxy/fuel cutting systems, arc welding equipment, automated welding/cutting equipment, including installation, preventive maintenance, in-house and onsite troubleshooting and service, component repair and performs component upgrades while ensuring a safe working environment.

Education Level

  • Associate’s Degree in Industrial Electronics/Electrical Engineering
  • Technical School
  • Work experience could supersede educational requirements

Work Experience

  • Experience with Google Docs or Microsoft Office (a plus)

Duties/Responsibilities

  • 1st year of training may require up to 16 weeks of continuous travel.
  • Ability to attend a minimum of 2 weeks of company paid training per year focused on advancing the technicians ability to serve our customer base.
  • Ability to maintain accurate and timely expense reports.
  • Ability to work closely with customers as the Company’s primary contact person to build confidence and deliver for the customer and Airgas.
  • Communicates well internally with all branch personnel and as part of a team environment.
  • Ensures machines are tested, calibrated and run according to manufacturer’s specifications.
  • Ensures proper service documentation is completed in a timely and accurate fashion.
  • Required to service equipment and customers in-house and on-site at customer locations.
  • This candidate will have the skills to service all types of welding equipment, CNC cutting systems and their components within one year of DOH (depending on education and experience).
  • Performs other related duties as required.
