Job Profile
The company is hiring a Welder Repair Technician who will troubleshoot and perform maintenance on welding systems and products distributed by the Company.
Perform work at the branch and customer sites as required.
Educational Level
- High School Diploma or GED
Work Experience
- A minimum of 2 years of electrical or electronic experience or training or equivalent
Duties/Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and make necessary repairs or perform routine maintenance and NIST traceable calibration on all types of Airgas equipment and products including, but not limited to –
- Manual, robotic, and semi-automatic GMAW, GTAW, SMAW, and PAW welding equipment including many custom semi-automatic systems.
- Orbital tube and pipe welding systems.
- High-purity bulk and cylinder gas systems.
- Integrated welding and motion control systems.
- Maintain company-provided diagnostic equipment, tools, and other equipment in clean, good working condition within the manufacturer’s recommendations.
- Communicate with vendors, customers, sales staff, store managers, and others, providing information on repair times, ordering of parts and supplies, etc. Maintain inventory of parts in the Airgas facility.
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- A Valid state driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to regularly lift up to 60 lbs. and move 125+ lbs. with the aid of material moving equipment.
- Must be able to travel 10-20%
