Job Profile

The company (Pratt & Whitney) is looking for a Welder Technician who will entail blending, smoothing, and deburring surface operations on aerospace case parts as outlined in the work instructions to meet customer requirements.

Education Level

• High School Degree or GED
• Ability to pass standard weld certifications (internal)

Work Experience

• Related experience in the aerospace industry

Duties/Responsibilities

• Complete the required paperwork associated with work and work instructions.
• Conduct preventive maintenance of equipment.
• Inspect parts before and after welding.
• Maintain a clean work environment.
• Maintain internal weld certifications.
• Prepare parts for welding.
• Set up and operate TIG welding machines.
• Weld parts to specifications as outlined in work instructions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical trade school/certifications
• Experience with TIG welding and bench mechanic operation

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

• Ability to read and interpret work instructions
• US Citizenship due to government contracts
