Job Profile

The company is looking for a Welding Engineer who will provide critical support to the factory floor.

Requires expertise in welding processes, including GMAW, GTAW, and hard automation applications, with a preference for candidates experienced/trained in welding automation.

Graduates with significant experience as welders or welding operators in a manufacturing environment are strongly encouraged to apply.

Safety is paramount in this position, and candidates with a strong safety mindset are highly valued.

Education Level

  • Bachelor of Science in Welding EngineeringCollege/University (required)
  • Degree in Welding Engineering Technology or a STEM field with specific welding and manufacturing experience from an ABET-accredited institution (may be considered)

Work Experience

  • Hands-on experience with GMAW, GTAW, and hard automation applications; welding automation experience/training (preferred)
  • Significant experience as a welder or welding operator in a manufacturing environment (highly desirable)

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Ensure the safety and integrity of welding processes, emphasizing a strong safety mindset throughout all activities.
  • Provide engineering support for GMAW, GTAW, and hard automation applications for the manufacture of pressure-retaining equipment and piping systems.
  • Interface with production welding technicians daily, offering technical guidance and expertise.
  • Monitor and optimize welding processes for efficiency, quality, and safety.
  • Possess a general understanding of all common Non-Destructive Examination (NDE) methods.
  • Comfortably work in a large factory setting, overseeing welding activities and ensuring compliance with ASME standards.
  • Be available for off-shift work as needed to support critical manufacturing activities and training sessions.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Ability to work comfortably in a large factory setting and interact effectively with production welding technicians.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and strong communication abilities. Intermediate/Advanced computer skills required.
  • General knowledge of common NDE methods and a strong safety mindset.
  • Willingness to work off-shifts as needed to support critical manufacturing activities and training.
