Job Profile

The company is searching for a Welding Operator to join its team.

Educational Qualification

  • Applicants should have completed Graduation from a related Trade School or High School Diploma or GED

Work Experience

  • Possess 1-3 years of experience in TIG welding
  • Experience with aluminum is (strongly preferred)

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Operating machines or using manual methods in a safe manner to meet production goals.
  • Assess welds to ensure cleanliness and within designated specifications of customer requirements.
  • Repair robot welds as needed
  • Conduct test to evaluate weld quality
  • Collaborate with engine ringing to address issues
  • Reads and follows all work instructions and standard operating procedures.
  • Ensures compliance with all safety and quality standards. Reports any deviations immediately.
  • Trains other employees as needed.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Ability to measure close tolerances (Metric and Imperial)
  • Knowledge and ability to assess metal structures to identify and initiate repair of damaged welds.
  • Knowledge and ability to use small tools to operate air/hand tools, welders, grinder, and buffing machines.

Additional Information

  • Work is performed in a manufacturing setting which requires the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses with side shields and safety shoes with minimal exposure to health or safety hazards.
  • Ability to work overtime in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Ability to perform work while standing or walking a minimum of 8 hours a day.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. (required)
  • Ability to work in a hot environment
