Job Profile
The company is looking for a Welding Specialist who will be responsible for the integrity of the production welds through audits, training, and technology.
Educational Qualification
- Applicants should have a Weld Technician Diploma and minimum 3 years of experience with weld process design in an automotive environment
Work Experience
- Prior experience with robotic welding
- Preference is given to candidates with experience in-
-TS 16949 procedures - -APQP, PPAP, GD&T, Flow Diagrams, FMEAs, Control Plans
- -Tooling and Process Reviews
- –GMAW, Resistance, and magnet arc welding
Duties/Responsibilities
- Ability to troubleshoot welding robots
- Complete ECNs and feasibilities/impacts
- Conduct training for Team Members
- Design procedures for all applicable areas
- Develops weld drawings for new and existing programs
- Ensure completion of all program documentation
- Ensure that you work and operate equipment according to the company’s safety rules and regulations
- Evaluate and recommend equipment and technology for manufacturing
- Know and understand process documentation and customer-specific requirements as they relate to this job function
- Maintain production visual weld aides
- Monitor quality of welds; trained in all phases of weld troubleshooting
- Participates in the development of Control Plan documentation and procedures
- Perform manufacturing feasibilities for new and existing programs
- Required to adhere to all Health and Safety programs in accordance with the OHSA
- Review, analyze, and archive weld destruct samples
- Work with customers and launch teams to ensure successful product and welding development
- Duties also include detailing to Supervisors necessary modifications to be made to existing equipment to maximize ease of operation and increased machine performance
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
- Ability to conduct root cause analysis using various problem-solving techniques
- Ability to use basic measurement tools
- Proven knowledge of Destructive and Non-Destructive Evaluation testing and equipment
