Job Profile

The company is looking for a Welding Technician who will be responsible for repairs and preventive maintenance on tanks, vessels, piping systems, and structural systems.

The position also will be responsible for the layout and fabrication of new and replacement piping systems, as well as the installation of valves and related piping equipment.

Educational Qualification

  • The applicant should have a High School Diploma or GED

Work Experience

  • The candidate should have 1.5 years to 4 years of related work experience

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Team members must be able to work in a team-oriented and safety-conscious environment. “Safety First” expectations include, but are not limited to, the PJHA process, Observation process, and compliance with all company/site safety guidelines and procedures.
  • Deciphers engineering drawings and specifications to plan layout, assembly, and welding operations.
  • Layout and fabrication of new and replacement piping systems, as well as installation of valves and related piping equipment.
  • Perform repairs and preventive maintenance on tanks, vessels, piping systems, and structural systems.
  • Perform Tack-welds or welds components and assemblies, using electric, gas, arc, or other welding equipment.
  • Welding components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions
  • Work from elevated areas such as ladders, platforms, scaffolding, etc.

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Great work ethic
  • Knowledge of common facilities operations and operating tools
  • A desire to grow within an organization
  • TIG and Stick Welding techniques is required
  • Knowledge of common facilities operations and operating tools
  • Certified with B31 and 6G is preferred but not required

Physical demands

  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds

Salary

  • $21-27 per hour depending on experience

  • The company will pay for 80% of your health, medical, dental, and vision benefits.
  • The company also pays for being on call.
